Gilette Venus & Olay Razor Review
Another awesome product from my Love VoxBox from Influenster that I was sent to try and review is the Venus & Olay Razor from Gillette. I have always loved the idea of a razor with shaving cream/gel/soap built in, but they're so expensive that I've only tried it once before.. In fact, so long ago that I can't even recall the brand or name! So you can imagine my excitement when I saw this new product in my VoxBox...
- "Venus’ five-bladed razors shave you close and adjust to women’s curves for a smooth and comfortable shave, even over tricky shaving areas like knees and ankles."
- "Olay Moisture Bars contain skin-enhancing elements found in Olay products: Petrolatum helps lock in skin’s moisture for less dryness and Glycerin helps offer that goddess glow! Just wet the razor to release a light lather – no separate shave cream required."
- "As with most Venus razors, new Venus & Olay also features a rounded, pivoting head designed for women’s curves, and a soft-grip ergonomic handle for confident control, even in wet and soapy environment."
~ Influenster.com
I really like the design of this razor and the shower hook thing that they included with it! It sticks onto the wall of your shower so your razor can rest on there instead of taking up room elsewhere...very clever! I hate when I have to put mine on the corners of my bathtub because it gets too wet all the time and then starts getting moldy and gross. And as for how it actually shaves..Fantastic! My legs are soo smooth right now, thanks to this razor, and I love feeling them now. The moisture bars on the razors made my shaving experience very easy and enjoyable; they also smelled nice! I don't have to use a shaving cream with this since it makes everything very smooth already.
With that said, this razor is pretty expensive, and even a replacement cartridge will cost ya $9-$11, YMMV, so I don't know... It is definitely one of the best razors I've ever tried, but I'm not sure if I will want to splurge on it after I'm done with my current one. Let's hope it lasts a long time!
Kiss Nail Dress Review
"Introducing Kiss Nail Dress, ultimate nail fashion for tips and toes! Just peel, apply, and shape for a manicure that lasts up to 10 days. On in minutes, off in seconds without remover. Nail Dress is available in 18 different styles, many of them featuring 3-dimensional jeweled designs. Check out Peplum, a deep black with multi-colored gems for a pop of color, or Babydoll, for a golden and glamorous jeweled look. Skip the topcoat, Nail Dress has it built in.
With 28 strips in each package, you can cut up your extras to create designs that can be used on top of polished or artificial nails. Nail Dress doesn’t dry out the way other polish strips can, so you can save them to use on your next DIY mani. A nail design booklet is included in each package, just in case you need a little inspiration." ~ Influenster.com
The application process wasn't terribly difficult for me as I've seen videos of others apply other nail strips lots of times before on YouTube, and I'd already tried it myself once before, so I had a little experience. You just have to pick out their right sizes for your nails, which is very important if you want your manicure to look good. Another tip is to size up instead of down - you can always file down the edges with the file that's usually included with any nail strips, including Kiss Nail Dresses, but smaller strips than your nails will look awkward!!
Overall, I recommend this product because they have great patterns and are easy to use...very well worth the money! I will be getting more for myself soon!
Truvía® Natural Sweetener Product Review
Truvia (www.truvia.com) natural sweetener was a product that I received in my Influenster Love VoxBox last month and I have to admit - I was already a loyal user of Truvia for months before I received this sample! But here's my opportunity to share a little review and a recipe for this product with you guys.
I honestly do believe that Truvia tastes just as great as plain ol' sugar, but it's so much healthier since it's all natural! You may not see a huge difference after switching over to using Truvia every day but it makes me feel good just knowing that it's making a small difference. It's kosher and a great alternative for people with diabetes too!
The coolest thing is that if you log onto http://truvia.com/recipes right now, they posted TONS of recipes with which you can use Truvia! There are recipes for yummy desserts, beverages, sauces, and more! I've just been browsing through it and I really want to try the reduced sugar fudgy brownies - it's only 130 calories...mm-hmm! These all look great and healthy and hopefully can be inspirations for you!

Montagne Jeunesse Face Mask Review
I had the opportunity to receive a fabulous Holiday VoxBox from Influenster earlier this month filled with quite a variety of awesome, new products and I've been testing out these products all month long - and here's a review for one of them: a Montagne Jeunesse face mask (in dead sea mud)!
"Whether you enjoy looking after your skin, being pampered, or indulging in some me-time, be it alone or with friends, you will absolutely enjoy one of these ‘Life Little Pleasures’… With a huge array to choose from, our face masques are packed with the most delicious natural ingredients and are bursting with luscious fragrances. Suitable for all different skin types, there is one to suit every mood and everybody!I received a little packet that I was actually really excited about because I love masks! They are like little spa treatments that are soo much cheaper but make me feel just as happy and pampered as normal spa treatments do. The dead sea mud mask that I received smelled really awesome - just a little too strong though because I started getting a headache after 10 minutes and had to rinse it off. They suggest that you leave the mask on for 10-15 minutes so I guess that wasn't too big of a deal, but I would suggest that you pick a scent that you like, because it's probably going to be very strong and you don't want to waste money on a good mask just because it smells weird!
Montagne Jeunesse beauty treats are free of parabens, vegetarian approved and never tested on animals. So treat yourself today to a masque that will hydrate, nourish and leave your skin cleansed, smooth and glowing. Available at ULTA Beauty, Walgreen’s, Claire’s, Walmart, Kroger, CVS Pharmacies and other retailers across the US, these masques are available in a variety of succulent flavours, including:

- Passion Peel Off
- Dead Sea Mud
- Fruit Smoothie
- Strawberry Souffle

NEW X Out Wash-In Treatment Review
I had the opportunity to receive a fabulous Holiday VoxBox from Influenster earlier this month filled with quite a variety of awesome, new products and I've been testing out these products all month long - and here's a review for one of them: the NEW X Out Wash-In Treatment!
This is a new product from the makers of Proactiv, which I have tried and liked but had to stop ordering because it is pretty expensive, and I was so excited to try it out after seeing it in my VoxBox! Yes, I think it might be my favorite product out of the everything that I received to try! But enough about my love for this amazing product, I need to tell you why it is so amazing!
First off, the packaging totally got me again. I've never seen a "face wash" (because it is so much more than just a face wash and needed the quotation marks) packaged like this, with a pump, and I love it because I keep it in my shower and this prevents water from getting into the product! I just like the way it looks too, and it stands out from my array of face/skin products in the shower.
The reason why this isn't a normal acne treatment/face wash is that it's supposed to stay on your face and keep fighting pimples long after you rinse the product of - something that I'm usually skeptical off. But this product really works so well that I just might believe this claim! This product is supposed to take the place of your normal acne treatments as well as your face wash and mask so it's very multipurpose and from what I can see so far, it lives up to its claims! It's been effective in controlling my acne but I've also been using my normal moisturizer from Clean & Clear with a bit of salicylic acid because I didn't want to stop using everything and start breaking out really badly, in case X Out didn't work for my skin. But it did!! I have yet to try it as a mask/leave it on my skin overnight but I will try that soon for really big pimples... Gross, I know. That's why I need this product to get rid of it.
Something else that I really love about X Out is the exfoliation that I get with this face wash, because there are little exfoliating beads in it and they're not harsh at all, so you can really use this product daily. It leaves my face feeling soft and clean and I love that feeling!
"The unique, one-step X Out™ Wash-In Treatment is formulated to help kill the bacteria that causes breakouts, help banish existing pimples and help leave the skin feeling smooth and looking healthy.
X Out™ works to lift away the dirt and grime that can clog pores. The Wash-In Treatment also leaves behind powerful medicine to help keep pores clean. Learn more and purchase at XOut.com. X Out is sold as a 30-day supply and comes with a bonus Shine Control product to help you fight oil all day for $19.95." - Influenster

imPRESS Press-on Manicure Review
I had the opportunity to receive a fabulous Holiday VoxBox from Influenster earlier this month filled with quite a variety of awesome, new products and I've been testing out these products all month long - and here's a review for one of them: the imPRESS Press-on Manicure!
The imPRESS Press-on Manicures are a bit pricy but I would say worth it if you're someone that usually gets manicures anyway! They have really pretty patterns and I believe there are coupons for them out there, I think I even saw a little tear-out pad at my local Walmart? Anyway, they live up to their claim and can definitely stay on for a full week - which is awesome - but I had to take them off after 5 days because I wanted to try a new nail color that I'd gotten the day before!
Overall, great new product and I forgot to mention the cute packaging! It looks just like a nail polish bottle! How cute!! Packaging really gets me sometimes... :)
"Introducing imPress Press-On Manicure by Broadway Nails, the revolutionary way to apply polish! Featuring advanced nail technology, you can get a salon-perfect manicure in seconds – simply peel off, press on, and you're done. There's no drying, a killer shine and a manicure that lasts up to a week! And, imPress is so easy to remove, you can change it up to match your mood as often as you want. Check out all 36 colors and patterns, including trendy brights, classic darks and animal prints. With imPress, your nails will always be your best accessory. These press-on nails were definitely very easy when it came to application - took me less than 10 minutes and there's no drying time at all, which is something that I HATE with normal manicures! These nails looked great but my only complaint is that they were a bit longer than I would've liked for them to be. I usually keep my nails short but didn't want to cut these fake nails and then ruin them, so I worn them at their original length but it did feel kind of uncomfortable for me the whole time I had them on.
imPress Manicure retails for $5.99 for colors and $7.99 for patterns, and is available at CVS, Rite Aid, Duane Reade, KMart, Walgreens, Walmart and more. For a full list of online and in-store retailers, visit imPressManicure.com, where you can download an exclusive coupon and virtually try on all the colors and patterns!" - Influenster

NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine Review
I had the opportunity to receive a fabulous Holiday VoxBox from Influenster earlier this month filled with quite a variety of awesome, new products and I've been testing out these products all month long - and here's a review for one of them: the NYC New York Color Liquid Lipshine!
I love this nude shade - it's actually my very first "nude" lip gloss! It feels very nice and smooth on my lips - NOT STICKY! - and has barely any color, so I do wish that it was a bit more pigmented! But some people might like that, especially when layered over other lipsticks.
It is very shiny though and looks awesome for a "natural" look!
"A beauty-editor favorite is Liquid Lipshine ($2.49). It has pure pigments that created a 3-D gloss effect. Vitamin E provides shine and a moisturizing feel. The formula is non-sticky, super shiny & soft. Available in 10 on-trend shades from neutral nudes, to berries & fuchsias. Start shopping for NYC at these stores nearest you: Walmart, Target, Rite Aid, CVS, Family Dollar, Duane Reade, Kmart, HEB, and others. Visit newyorkcolor.com to check out all shades and fun products from New York Color!" - InfluensterThe shade that I received was Nude York City - as suggested by the name, a nude, slightly peachy, skin colored gloss. It is an awesome shade and very light - will look good paired with any other lip color.

Review of Young Love (The Album)
Mat Kearney came out with his third album very recently, and I was lucky enough to get a copy from One2One Network to review! First off, I am so in love with his album cover! The bright color comes off as exciting, new, and youthful, and I would say that pretty much describes his whole album, to a Tee! His songs are upbeat and catchy, and they never fail to boost my mood when I'm feeling a little down and blue. "Hey Mama" from Young Love is the story of Mat and his wife, and it's so sweet. Definitely a good, happy song, that I think everyone will love! I really like how he sounds and his music video for the song was also pretty cool - check it out on YouTube if you have time! "She Got The Honey" is also another one of my favorites and I like to sing along to it and sometimes dance along...as embarrassing as that sounds! But yes, it's that catchy!!! I think his album is great for people who like country and/or pop!

Here, Home, Hope Book Review
A couple of weeks ago, I received a copy of Here, Home, Hope by Kaira Rouda to read and also to review from One2One Network. Here's a book trailer of it (from YouTube) for those of you who are interested, just to get an idea of what the book is about! It's awesome as I have never seen one before and this one was really cool!
This book has constantly reminded me of Desperate Housewives when I was reading it because of the similar neighborhood setting and all of the gossip and drama that is involved, which I think was a good thing! I used to be addicted to the show when it first came out so I really do like how the book is written with so much vivid detail so I was really able to imagine the setting of the book.
Kelly Mills Johnson, the main character of the book, decides that she wants to make several changes to her life in order to help her get over her "midlife crisis". The book is very well written and is both funny and sad at times, and the story is truely poignant at several points indeed.
I have really enjoyed this book and it has encouraged me to think about some changes that I might even want to make in my life!
"Kelly Mills Johnson becomes restless in her thirty-ninth year. An appetite for more forces her to take stock of her ordinary middle-American existence and her neighbors’ seemingly perfect lives. Her marriage to a successful attorney has settled into a comfortable routine, and being the mother of two adorable sons has been rewarding but exhausting. Meanwhile, Kelly’s own passions lie wasted. She eyes with envy the lives of her two best friends, Kathryn and Charlotte, both beautiful, successful businesswomen who seem to have it all. Kelly takes charge of her life, devising a midlife makeover plan."
