As you all know, National Grandparent's Day is coming up on September 13th, less than a month from now, and I thought I was just going to do what I always do every year - bring my daughter (and husband) with me on a trip to their Grandparents' house and have dinner together. That was before I found out about a fantastic new technology - YourVoice. Basically it allows you to send voice greetings via email, and your children's grandparents can hear the voice greetings on their computer whenever they like! Instead of a phone call or a memory of doing some things together, your children's beloved grandparents can now treasure his/her voice forever.
I decided to test out this new service from Grandparents.com, and let my daughter send my parents a greeting - an early "Happy Grandparent's Day!" from her. The process of doing it actually turned out to be extremely easy! I went to YourVoice, dialed a phone number, got my daughter to speak into the phone, and sent her greeting to my parents' email (I think most people, even grandparents now use the internet, so this shouldn't be a big problem). I even got a copy of the email in my inbox, so I clicked on the link to check and see if it was really working, and magically, I heard my daughter's voice coming from the speakers.
Do you want to send your parents a personalized message/voice greeting from your children without spending a penny? Then YourVoice from Grandparents.com is the website for you! Get your children to say a little something into the phone and try it out for yourself, trust me, YourVoice so simple to use, and it's FREE, all you need is a phone! ;) Really, neither you nor the recipient of the voice greeting even has to be a member of Grandparents.com to use their service, but of course it's a great website to sign up for, and membership is free too.
